When is Teacher's day?

I read something on Wikipedia its on October 5 for World's Teacher Day and then I Googled it tells me Teacher's appreciation day is at the first week of May. I really would like to know because next year I'm going to visit my HS-teacher and thank her for being my mentor during my Senior year, I just graduated from high school so next year I'm going to visit her.
