Military and college?

I've always wanted to join the military, but I also want my own career. I live in the state of New York, and hope to attend college here. I've been looking into colleges that have a fashion design program and ROTC for the Air Force. I just don't know if I should go to college first, then enlist in the Air Force. Or join the end of my senior year in high school. Is it best to go to college after so they help pay for schooling? Or join after?
